Choose the perks that fit how you actually spend — cash back on groceries, no fees on your first overdraft, or interest that works while you sleep. Build it your way.
We answer to our members, not shareholders — so profits go back into better rates and lower fees.
Deposit checks, move money and chat with a real person from your phone or any branch on the map.
Three generations of members have grown up, bought homes and retired banking with us.
Cooks Credit Union was chartered in 1952 by a small group of millworkers who pooled their savings so neighbors could borrow for a car, a roof repair, or a rough month, without a bank turning them away. That original idea — that money works better when it's shared, not hoarded — is still the whole business model. We're a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative, which means every person who banks with us is also an owner. There are no outside shareholders demanding a bigger cut; earnings get returned to members as stronger rates, lower fees, and free financial coaching.
Today that means checking and savings accounts with no hidden fees, auto and home loans underwritten by people who actually pick up the phone, and a business banking team that understands what it's like to run a small operation on thin margins. We've grown to more than 60 branches, but we've kept the part that mattered from day one: a member calling in gets a person, not a phone tree, and a "no" always comes with an explanation and a next step.
